Mr. Ward has served as a Consultant for Morrell Agro Industries since July 2009. He is currently Manager of an irrigated wheat project in the U.S. that averages over 80 quintals per hectare, and he also performs private business consulting for various types of agriculture related businesses. Prior to managing the wheat farm, he managed orchards for five years. In January 2010, Lloyd introduced 162 varieties of fruit trees, berries, nut trees, and bamboo to Ethiopia for adaptation trials. He has an MBA degree from Indiana University, an MS in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, and a Bachelors of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Ward was hired by MAI for his knowledge of grains and fruit trees. He was given the task to visit Ethiopia and to determine what could be grown there as additional and alternative food sources for the local people.
