Tsehay Redda, Director, Livestock Business Development

Ms. Redda has 25 years of service in livestock and agriculture development. She joined MAI in July 2010. Before MAI, she was Deputy Chief of Party for Land O’Lakes International Development. Land O’Lakes is implementing the Ethiopia Dairy Development Project that is funded by USAID. Ms. Redda has coordinated and managed various dairy and livestock development programs financed by United States Agency for International Development, U.S president’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, Food and Agriculture Organization, World Food Program, European Union, African Development bank, and the Austrian, Ethiopian, and US governments. Ms. Redda has a Bachelor of Science degree from Alemaya Agricultural University and Masters of Science degree from University of Reading, in the UK. She holds local and foreign certificates and diplomas in dairy processing and technology, animal feeds and nutrition, agri-business development, cooperative business development, computer science, general management, and staff administration.
